Schedule of Dates

Equestrian vacations with Blue Sky Sage Horseback Adventures run from about mid-June through late September.  June is late spring season at the higher altitude of the Little Sandy River area where we set up the camp well ahead of the first equestrian vacation of the season. At 7500’ in altitude, summer takes a little more time to come in, so the days are warm and an occasional rain shower drops moisture to the blossoming wildflowers in the sage and sub-alpine foothills. Those who visit in July are treated to the high, cool desert in full bloom and in August the grass starts to cure and become rich with nutrition for the elk, deer and the wild mustangs of the Great Divide Basin. Temperatures rarely get above the 80’s and the evenings are cool and comfortable for sleeping. September equestrian vacations feature the changing colors of the willow and aspen, perfect daytime temperatures and cooler evenings with light frost in the mornings which makes the campfire the favorite place to be for morning coffee. No matter which month you choose to come on your equestrian vacation, you will ride good horses, enjoy fabulous food, rest and relax like never before. We invite you to pull your cinch, catch a stirrup and ride with Blue Sky Sage for your equestrian vacation of a lifetime.
